“I just wanted to let you know that I loved your new book and I finished it the first night I got it. It also inspired me to write a song on guitar which I have not put lyrics to yet. I don’t know how to record my music so I will probably have to do some research before you can hear it, but I would love to have you hear it.”–Will
Your letter made my day! Would love to hear your song. Lots of smart phones have a voice recorder that allows you to record anything you want. I use the recorder on my iphone all the time to record my songs, especially works-in-progress so that I don’t forget them.
The voice recorder on the iphone is in “Utilities” and once you make a recording you can “share” it via email. I email it to myself and then use a program called Switch Sound Converter to convert the file to an mp3 so that I can have it in my itunes library.
If you or someone you know has a phone with a recorder, try that. Also, lots of laptops have a basic voice recorder built in. On my PC, the voice recorder is in “Accessories” and is called Sound Recorder. Super easy to use and the PC has a built-in mic.
